With 22 islands, it boasts of an abundance of wildlife, birds, flora and fauna, lighthouses, sea caves, abandoned lumber camps, quarries, secluded bays, limestone cliffs and…. beaches!!! Some of the most pristine beaches in the world are right here! With the protection of the islands, there is always calm seas and shelter close by.
Apostle Island Adventures
The itinerary will vary depending on the weather, the type of trip desired, comfort levels, and the amount of time spent sailing vs. exploring the islands. Once we leave port, we usually anchor out amongst the islands, setting anchor in the safety of an island or shoreline. Depending on the winds, we generally sail for a few hours (or more if desired) drop anchor for lunch or for the day, then swim, lie on a sunny beach, hike an island, explore a lighthouse, a deserted fishing camp, or the magnificent sea caves.
