Discover the Apostle Islands aboard the 41′ Windeavor
Captain Gielow (A US Coast Guard Licensed Captain) has been sailing since he was 6 and the Apostle Islands for over 45 years. He began working as a charter captain in the Apostles for a camp in the late 1970s. Although Captain Gielow’s life path took him down a career path as a psychologist, he continued sailing while raising a family with his wife Dianna married 36 years. Now in intermittent retirement from his career as a psychologist, and Dianna in her career as a sign language interpreter for the Deaf, they spend most of their summers cruising Lake Superior. She also has been bitten by the sailing bug and enjoys playing in the galley creating new culinary delights.
